NEWS: AUbuntu is now Nubuntu!
Nubuntu is currently in the thought process. It has been inspired by the Automatix project hense the name aUbuntu. The name was then changed to Nubuntu, because it is the Newbie friendly version of Ubuntu.
Nubuntu Manifesto: Nubuntu is designed and (hopefully) created to allow users to migrate to Ubuntu as easily as if it had been preinstalled. It implements direct user feedback to make it easier to use.
Who should use Nubuntu:
-"Standard" computer users, who check there e-mail, chat, browse the web, listen to music, organize pictures, and many other "non-hardcore" things.
-parent-in-laws. Nubuntu should be so simplistic, you could give this to your dear old father-in-law, he would put it in, install it, and be "ready to go!"
-New users! Nubuntu should be easy enough that your 6 year old sister who has never touched a computer will be able to use it.
-users who are sick of Windows, and want a simplistic way to get into linux. I used to be a very prolific windows user, and switching to linux was an adventure, and at times didnt seem worth it. Nubuntu is a good way for them to get started without having to deal with a ton of things.
